A knife-wielding thug robbed a man in Central Park Thursday afternoon — and was captured after cops heard the victim’s cries, police said.
The 55-year-old victim was walking near East 109th Street and East Drive at about 3 p.m. when he was approached by the mugger, police said.
The crook threatened the victim with a knife and demanded money, according to law-enforcement authorities.
The mugger made off with about $40, but was apprehended by cops who had heard the victim yelling for help after the attack, sources said.
Cops found cash and a knife in the possession of the mugger, whose identity wasn’t immediately revealed.
No injuries were reported.
