A Queens auto-body worker’s legs were nearly sheared off when a vehicle struck two parked cars and wedged him between them, police and witnesses said.

The driver originally told cops she swerved to avoid a pothole when she severely injured the man at around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday on 125th Avenue near Merrick Boulevard in Jamaica. But she later told cops she swerved to try to avoid a car as it was pulling out of a parking lot.

The 26-year-old man was standing between the two cars waiting to cross the street. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition. The driver has not been charged.
