Stabbed in the eye
A drunken thug attacked another man with an ice pick on Jan. 18, stabbing his victim in the eye during the violent exchange on Martense Street.
Witnesses said that the 45-year-old suspect was arguing with his victim outside a store near Rogers Avenue at 7:15 pm when he started lobbing punches. He then pulled an ice pick from his coat and lunged, catching his victim just under the eye.
Cops were called to the scene, finding that the 45-year-old didn’t have one — but two — ice picks in his possession.
Changing locales
It seems that the trio of trigger-happy thugs who have been raiding East Flatbush supermarkets have begun looking for greener pastures.
Police said that the suspects wanted for the series of robberies — the latest of which occurred in East Flatbush on Dec. 27 — surfaced in Williamsburg on Jan. 7 when they robbed a Grand Street Key Food.
Employees said the suspects barreled in at 8:45 pm, pistol-whipped an employee and ran off with an undetermined amount of cash.
At the time, the thieves were still being sought for targeting East Flatbush food stores and restaurants, police said.
Their crimes include:
• Entering a C-Town on E. 98th Street between Rutland Road and Winthrop Street at 6:15 pm on Dec. 3, swiping money from three registers.
• Raiding a Key Food on Avenue D between E. 42nd and E. 43rd streets during a daring 3:35 pm holdup on Dec. 18, taking money from cash registers and a safe.
• Entering Danny’s Jerk Chicken Restaurant, which is on Lenox Road between Utica Avenue and E. 49th Street, at 8:30 pm on Dec. 21, robbing both the register and a 60-year-old customer.
• Hitting their second Key Food, this one on Church Avenue between E. 95th and E. 96th streets, at 7 pm on Dec. 27 — right at the height of last month’s snowpacalypse — where they pistol-whipped an employee and ransacked a register.
Cops have described all suspects as dark-skinned males between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-1 and around 170 pounds.
