A Queens man will face up to 10 months in jail for stabbing and then tossing a cat off of a third-floor balcony and then finishing off the kitty by stomping it to death on the sidewalk — all in view of horrified children.

As his case was about to go to trial, Giovanni Olivo, 31, pleaded guilty in Queens court to aggravated animal cruelty and attempting to intimidate a witness for the horrific September 2016 cat snuff-out.

Olivo admitted to stabbing the adult female kitty and then throwing her off of his Far Rockaway balcony.

When he realized she was still alive he ran downstairs and stomped her to death while screaming “you’re dead to this world!” in full view of nearby children and their parents.

He later made threats to a neighbor who witnessed the heinous crime to try to stop the person from testifying against him at trial, officials said.

Judge John Latella pressed Olivo to admit to his crimes asking, “Did you also stomp the cat?” Olivo answered, “Yes.”

“This was a cruel and vile act of brutality,” Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said. “The defendant is going to jail as punishment for the vicious killing of a cat and for trying to sway a witness to lie in court.”

Olivo faced up to two years in prison if convicted at trial.

As part of his plea agreement he will also be banned from owning an animal for five years and must register as an animal abuser.

He is due back in court on Sept. 12 for sentencing.
