A conductor with the help of some good Samaritans helped rescue a man from the subway tracks in Manhattan on Wednesday, authorities said.

A 24-year-old man jumped onto the roadbed about 8:45 a.m. at the Penn Station stop at 34th Street and 7th Avenue, according to cops and an MTA spokesman.

Quick-thinking riders alerted a conductor, who was in charge of crowd control at the high traffic station.

He then told the Rail Control Center to hold any trains coming into the stations, sources said.

The conductor and passengers then pulled him back onto the platform, sources said.

The man was not hit by the train, and EMS took him to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.

No service was affected, and no criminality is suspected.
