A 31-year-old man was riddled with bullets in a deadly early Monday burst of violence inside an illegal Brooklyn nightclub, cops and sources said. 

Giovanni Rivera was fatally blasted multiple times in the torso and back around 5 a.m. in the shady storefront night spot on Third Avenue near 50th Street in Sunset Park, authorities and law-enforcement sources said. 

Rivera, who lived in Kensington, was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where he succumbed to his injuries hours later, cops said.

Gabriel Hernandez, 27, of Greenwood Heights, was taken into custody from the scene and charged Tuesday with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

It remained unclear Tuesday whether the two men knew each other, and the motive for the deadly violence remains under investigation.

Rivera’s murder marks the second homicide reported in Brooklyn’s 72nd Precinct – which covers the area – so far this year. 

Three homicides were reported within the precinct’s boundaries during the same period in 2024, NYPD data shows.
