A burglar broke into a Midtown apartment building near Central Park early Tuesday morning and swiped about $2,000 worth of goods while the resident was fast asleep, police said.
The thief pushed open a door on the terrace at the apartment on 58th Street near the corner of Seventh Avenue, about two blocks south of the park at around 1 a.m., authorities said.
Once inside, the crook took an iPad, a briefcase and a pair of sneakers from the living room.
The resident of the apartment, a 38-year-old man, woke up and found the terrace door open and a crowbar on the floor — but police say there was no evidence of a forced entry.
No arrests have been made, cops said.
