A firebug set a deli ablaze in Upper Manhattan after workers kicked him out for trying to steal booze.

The man walked into Saied Deli on Park Avenue and East 125th Street in East Harlem, Monday at 2 a.m., and tried to take some beer from the back of the store, according to police.

But when deli workers saw what he was up to, they escorted him out, cops said.

He threatened and insulted the workers, who decided to lock the store-front and work out of a service window, cops said.

Moments later, the thief returned and set the place on fire, cops said.

Staff workers were able to extinguish the flames and he fled the scene, cops said.

There were no reported injuries.
