A man reported missing in Tennessee allegedly shot himself near the Lasker ice skating rink in Central Park Tuesday evening, police said.

The 30-year-old man was found with a gunshot to the chest around 8 p.m. on the sidewalk near 106th Street and East Drive, according to officials.

A passerby reported hearing a gunshot and flagged down a police officer who then located the injured man on the sidewalk outside of the park, cops said.

Authorities believe the victim walked out of the park after shooting himself and collapsed on the curb.

A semi-automatic firearm was recovered about 100 feet away from where he was found, near a stone bridge on the north side of the rink.

Officials said the man’s family contacted Tennessee police, concerned for his mental state when he purchased a gun and later went missing.

The man was transported to St Luke’s Roosevelt where he is in critical, but stable condition.
