A 37-year-old man who confronted a group of hooligans who were dancing on his car in a Bedford-Stuyvesant parking lot wound up with a bullet in the chest when he tried to make them stop, police sources said Tuesday.

The violent encounter unfolded just before 2:30 a.m. Monday when the victim’s brother spotted the group of men dancing and singing on his car while others shot video in the lot at 953 DeKalb Ave., the sources said.

The duo went down to the lot to confront the group and a fight ensued, the victim’s brother told cops. One of the men pulled a gun and shot the 37-year-old twice, once in the chest and once in the armpit, before the group scattered, sources said.

The man tried to take his brother to the hospital but crashed into a parked vehicle as he attempted a turn, police sources said. An ambulance took the victim to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, police said.
