A man was gunned down on a East Harlem street, cops said.

The shots were fired just down the street from IS 201, near Park Avenue and East 128th Street at 4:50 p.m. police sources said. The victim, still unidentified, was hit multiple times in the torso and was pronounced DOA at the scene by EMS, cops said.

“I can’t believe they’d shoot someone that close to a school,” said Iesha Sekou, who works in an anti-violence program at the school.

The school was locked down after the incident and the students were shaken up.

“How do you explain to these kids that the body lying in the street is a shooting victim?”

Police were questioning a 26-year-old man in regard to the shooting.
