A man was shot and killed in a Bronx apartment after answering a knock at the door on Monday night, police and sources said.
Daniel Valdez, 43, was struck in his torso by a gunman who knocked at the door of the residence on Irwin Avenue near West 234th Street in Kingsbridge just before 6 p.m., the NYPD and sources said.

It is unconfirmed if the victim knew the suspect. William C. Lopez/NYPOSTThe victim was taken by EMS to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced dead, cops said.
No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made.
