A father of five driving a “dollar van” as a side job was shot dead in Queens on Tuesday morning during an argument with another motorist, cops said.

Leon Jason Brown, 38, was transporting passengers in his burgundy van at around 8 a.m. on Rockaway Beach Boulevard near Beach 81st Street in Hammels when a white van pulled up alongside him, police said.

The driver of the white van squeezed off one shot, hitting Brown in the chest and causing him to swerve the vehicle into a U-turn, witnesses said.

Five terrified passengers jumped out of the still-moving van, which slammed into a parked car on the street, just outside the Hammel Houses.

Brown, who lived in Far Rockaway and worked in construction, was rushed to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Cops were still looking for the killer, who fled in his van.
