Shot dead
A gunman shot a 23-year-old in the back of the head — killing him — during a furious Jan. 23 exchange outside the Marlboro Houses.
Residents told police that the victim, who was identified as Avenue W resident Eric Ramirez, was found sprawled out behind a W. 11th Street building at 11:33 am. He was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.
Cops are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.

Bank job
A daring thief tunnelled his way into the Sovereign Bank on 86th Street on Jan. 15, but ended up fleeing with his tail between his legs after tripping the burglar alarm.
Bank employees said the thief broke into an adjacent building with connecting basements and took the time to bore a hole up through the floor.
Yet all that work was for nothing: Once he got inside, he hit the alarm and fled.
Scream alarm
A burglar scrambled out of a 67th Street home on Jan. 13 after his 68-year-old victim found him inside, rooting through her things.
The victim entered her home, which is between 14th and 15th avenues, at 1:55 pm. Once she saw the thief she screamed, sending the coward speeding toward the door.
Robbed of $300
Two thugs held up a young man at gunpoint during a Jan. 18 confrontation on 15th Avenue.
The victim was nearing 63rd Street at 12:35 pm when the suspects grabbed him, choked him, and then put the gun to his head and robbed him.
Money grabber
A thief dressed as a Hasidic man is being sought for raiding a 79th Street store on Jan. 19.
Employees at the store, which is at 16th Avenue, said the suspect barrelled in at 10:40 am and grabbed a worker by the arm.
“Where’s the money? Where’s the money?” the thief demanded, before plucking $300 from the till.
X rob
A thief jumped a 28-year-old woman on Avenue X on Jan. 20, taking her handbag.
The woman was near Stryker Street as she was walking home from a nearby train station at 4:15 am when the thief grabbed her from behind.
“Don’t turn around, I have a gun,” the thief said, as he pushed the woman to the ground and ran off with her bag.
FX wig out
Three men tore up the FX Express on Avenue X on Jan. 20 — but were later arrested for their shenanigans.
Workers at the deli, which is near McDonald Avenue, told police that the suspects entered at 11:20 pm and started acting rowdy.
When a worker told them to leave, the suspects kicked over some tables and broke a side window before they ran off.
Flower pot flinger
Talk about flower power! An unhinged thug tossed a flower pot into a Manhattan Beach home on Jan. 20 after calling the homeowner a cyber-menace.
The 37-year-old victim was inside his Langham Street address at 6:24 pm when the flower pot came crashing through the window.
“Stay off the computer or I will break you f–king fingers!” the abor-abuser screamed before running off.
Valve villain
Someone broke into a NYCHA storage room inside the Sheepshed-Nostrand Houses recently, taking $2,500 in heating valves.
The theft wasn’t discovered until Jan. 4, officials said.
Dynasty devil
A sticky-fingered thief lifted a wallet off of a 38-year-old man on Voorhies Avenue on Jan. 21, then used the man’s credit cards to go on a shopping spree at Dynasty Sports on Sheepshead Bay Road.
The victim had just withdrawn money from a local bank near E. 19th Street when his wallet disappeared. He found out later that whoever took the wallet made a beeline to the sports store, which is between Jerome Avenue and E. 16th Street.
Left unguarded
A thief broke into an Ocean Avenue apartment on Jan. 15 — removing a window guard in the process.
The victim said that when she returned to her home, which is between Avenues W and X, at 11:30 pm, she found the window guard, which was affixed to the kitchen window, in the living room. Whoever put it there fled the apartment with an iPod, camera, and $4,000 in jewelry, the tenant told police.
Two on one
A pair of thugs jumped a 21-year-old on Coyle Street on Jan. 13 — but only one of them got away with it.
The victim told police that he was arguing with the two men — who he knew — between Avenue Z and Voorhies Avenue at 10:50 pm when the duo began pummeling him with punches.
The goons then threw their victim into a fence before running off. Responding officers arrested one of the teens after a brief search.
