A Long Island man abducted in an early-morning home invasion today was killed after he was shot in the chest, authorities said.

The victim, who was not identified, was shot at about 2 a.m. near his home in the exclusive waterfront town of Woodmere.

Police said two men were bound and abducted and taken from the home in a car.

Both of them escaped. The gunmen shot at one of the men, shooting him once in the chest. The other fled unharmed.

The wounded man was able to run away, jumping over a fence into a neighbors yard and knocked on the door.

The couple inside the home called 911. Nassau County cops found the man bleeding on the patio.

The victim was taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, where he died at 10:45 a.m.

Cops are looking for two black men. The first, about 5-foot-6, with a mustache and a goatee. The second is 6-foot-2, with a thin build.

No arrests have been made.
