A Brooklyn man shot in the face by an NYPD cop is conscious but cannot speak, his mother said Saturday.

Thavone Santana, 21, has been hospitalized since the Aug. 2 incident, when he was allegedly shot by Officer Ritchard Blake in East New York. Blake was fired Friday.

“We’re going to get through this as a family. Standing by Thavone 100 percent. I’ve been here every day,” said Santana’s mother, Arrie Spencer.

Spencer was part of a news conference outside of Brookdale Hospital, where state Assemblyman Charles Barron and other local electeds called for Blake’s arrest.

“I spoke to Thavone today and I said that I’m coming down to be here for him because at this time he’s not able to speak, but I will speak for him,” the mother said.
