Paramedics rendered aid to a 20-year-old man who was shot in the leg during a skirmish at the Sheepshead Nostrand Houses.

Police were told that the victim, a resident of the houses, was walking with friends on the Avenue W side of the complex at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night, September 26, when he heard five shots.

He said he suddenly felt a pain to his leg and realized that he had been shot in the left thigh.

Paramedics rushed the man to Lutheran Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition after treatment.

The gunman was still at large as this paper went to press.
