The seldom-heard sound of gunfire rang out on Roosevelt Island on Saturday afternoon, with one man shot in the abdomen and the assailant still at large in what sources called a drug deal gone bad.

The 20-year-old victim was struck on Main Street at 4:30 p.m. on the sleepy East River isle, cops said.

He was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center and is expected to survive.
