A man was slashed when he tried to move away from a homeless person on a Manhattan subway train, authorities said.

The 31-year-old victim was sitting next to the vagrant as he was riding a southbound E train near the Chambers Street station around 6:15 p.m. Saturday.

When the victim got up to change his seat, the homeless man followed him and slashed him across the right shoulder with an unknown sharp object, police said.

The vagrant then fled the train and the man was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
