A man was suddenly slashed in the face as he waited for a subway in Brooklyn, the latest in a string of terrifying transit-related crimes, police said.

Cops said the victim, 26, and the suspect got off a northbound A train about 1:10 p.m. when the man sat to wait for another train.

That’s when the suspect walked up to the victim and, without saying a word, cut him, police said.

“No words were said. It was completely unprovoked,” the police spokesman said of the incident which unfolded on the A/C platform at the High Street station.

The victim was taken to New York Presbyterian-Methodist Hospital with forehead lacerations, cops said.
