A 28-year-old man was punched and slashed in the face during a dispute on a Manhattan train Sunday night, cops and police sources said. 

The victim was aboard a D train at the West 4th Street-Washington Square station just after 7 p.m. when he got into an argument with another straphanger — who punched him and slashed him across the face with a silver switchblade, according to authorities and the sources. 

The victim, who the sources describe as highly intoxicated, was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. 

The suspect took off, authorities said. He was still in the wind Monday morning.

No information was immediately available about the dispute between the pair.

The incident follows at least three subway slashings or stabbings reported last week. 

Most recently, a 30-year-old Brooklyn straphanger was randomly stabbed in the face by a maniac who told his victim, “Why are you following me? You’re going to die today.”

The chilling attack happened Saturday morning on the J train in the Kosciuszko Street station in Bushwick, cops said.

A 22-year-old man was slashed in the face by a fellow straphanger who wanted him to turn down his music on a northbound 6 train at Grand Central around 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, cops said.

Earlier that morning, one man slashed another with a boxcutter on an L train at 14th Street and 1st Avenue during a squabble that began when the suspect kicked the victim’s bag, cops said.
