A man was slashed in the face by an unhinged attacker in Times Square, and needed 75 stitches to close the gash, police said.
The 20-year-old victim got into an argument with another man at 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday when their squabble escalated and became physical, cops said.
During the altercation, the attacker pulled out a sharp object and slashed the victim across the face before running away. It’s unclear what caused the dispute, with police sources saying the victim also has a criminal background. It’s unclear if the two knew each other.
He was taken to Bellevue Hospital to be stitched up, and the slasher is still at large, cops said.
