A man loitering in a Queens hotel lobby charged at a worker who asked him to leave and repeatedly slashed him, disturbing new video shows.

The suspect was standing in the lobby of La Quinta Inn on Queens Boulevard near 38th Street in Long Island City at 6:15 a.m. Sunday when an employee said he needed to get out, police said.

The man asked for water — and the worker complied, stepping out from behind the reception desk to hand him a bottle, according to authorities.

Then the man charged at the worker, knocking him onto the floor, and slashing him on the hands and left ear, surveillance video released by police early Monday shows.

The clip shows the two men tussling for nearly a minute before the worker went back behind the desk and held a side door closed to prevent his attacker from getting through.

The suspect took off, and the victim was taken to the Elmhurst Hospital Center in stable condition.
