A man was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver in the West Village early Wednesday, cops said.

The victim, 21, was standing outside of the Papaya Dog at about 6:20 a.m. on Avenue of the Americas and West 4th Street, authorities said.

“Every day here there are a lot of crazy people who like to fight. There was one screwdriver outside. A big one. The police took it,” a worker who refused to give his name said.

The 47-year-old suspect was taken into custody at the scene and the screwdriver was recovered, cops said.

The victim is in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital, police said.

Charges were pending.
