A man with a long rap sheet was slain in Chelsea, police sources said.

The 28-year-old Brooklyn victim was found stabbed in the stomach shortly before 2 a.m. in front of Erotica on 8th Avenue and 26th Street, cops said.

He died shortly after at Bellevue Hospital. It was not immediately clear what sparked the killing, but the victim had been arrested 71 times by the NYPD, according to sources.

Police said there is no indication that this was a bias attack, despite a recent spate of violence against gay men.

His busts included assault, robbery, pot possession, and obstructing governmental administration, sources said. He was most recently arrested on May 10 for attempted fraud.

His name was withheld pending family notification, but he is a resident of East New York.
