Two men were viciously stabbed steps away from a movie theater on the Lower East Side Saturday night — leaving one dead and one wounded, cops said. 

The violence broke out near Regal Essex Crossing on Delancey Street and Norfolk Street at 8:32 p.m, police said. 

A man, believed to be in his 20s, was knifed in the abdomen, while a 19-year-old man was stabbed in the back, according to cops.

Medics rushed them to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, but the older victim could not be saved. 

The teen was listed in stable condition. 

A knife was recovered at the scene, according to sources.

Cops said two suspects were taken into custody but it’s unclear what led to the attack.

Locals were rattled by the Saturday night violence. 

“It’s messed up,” said Paul, a local gawking at the police tape. “It’s horrible.”
