A man was hit by a car and killed as he tried to cross a Queens street Wednesday night, cops said.
The unidentified man, who is believed to be in his 50s, stepped into the street at Starr Avenue and Van Dam Street in Long Island City at about 11:25 p.m. when an oncoming car plowed into him, according to police.
The pedestrian was found in cardiac arrest and taken to New York Cornell Hospital where he died, authorities said.
The driver remained at the scene and no criminality is suspected.
