A man was hit by a car and killed as he tried to cross a Queens street Wednesday night, ​cops said.

The unidentified man, who is believed to be​ ​in his 50s​,​ stepped into the street at Starr Avenue and Van Dam Street in Long Island City at about 11:25 p.m. when an oncoming car plowed into him, according to ​police.

The pedestrian was found in cardiac arrest and taken to New York Cornell Hospital where he died, authorities said.

The driver remained at the scene and no criminality is suspected.
