A man was struck by a train early Sunday in Manhattan, according to police.
The victim, who police believe is in his thirties, was hit by an oncoming northbound ‘6’ train at the Astor Pl. subway station in the East Village just before 9 a.m., police said.
He was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he is being treated for an arm injury.
It was not immediately clear how the man fell into the tracks, police said.
Subway service is delayed on the ‘4’ and ‘6’ trains between Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall and Grand Central-42 St. in both directions, according to the MTA.
