This is the reason why the MTA reminds riders to stand behind the yellow line.
A man was struck by an incoming M train in Midtown on Friday morning as he was impatiently leaning over the platform looking for the train, police said.
The train hit the straphanger at around 8:15 a.m. as it was pulling into the station at Lexington Avenue and 53rd Street, cops said.
The victim suffered a laceration to his head and was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
