A man is clinging to life after being struck by a car in the East Village Tuesday night, authorities said.
The pedestrian was crossing the street near Cooper Square and East Fifth Street at about 11:45 p.m. when he was hit by the vehicle, cops said.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, police said.
The driver remained at the scene, authorities added. It was not immediately clear who had the right of way.
