A Westchester man rolled the dice on a broken elevator — and lost.

Joseph Berardi was ending his annual trip to the Borgata casino in Atlantic City last year when he hopped on the elevator to the lobby.

After a stop on the ninth floor, the elevator plunged, then “came to a sudden and most abrupt stop” between the lobby and the first floor, according to a Manhattan federal court lawsuit filed last week.

Berardi, 44, was urged to jump down five to six feet by casino workers and ended up with several herniated discs in his back.

The Borgata didn’t return a request for comment.
