A 71-year-old man cheated death and suffered only minor injuries on Monday when a subway train passed over him in Manhattan, authorities said.
The southbound 1 train passed over the man near West 86th Street at about 5:42 a.m. before he was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, according to law enforcement sources.
The train’s motorman said the man jumped onto the tracks, but the victim told first responders he got dizzy and fell.
