A man broke into a Bronx recycling facility and made off with $30,000 in cash, cops said Thursday.

The crook broke a window to sneak into the Alpha Recycling Company — which primarily reclaims cars’ catalytic converters — on East 233rd Street in Eastchester at around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, police said.

Once inside, he managed to crack the lock to the office and break into a safe, taking $30,000, according to cops. He fled through the same broken window.

Surveillance footage released by police shows the crook using his phone flashlight to inspect an ATM located at the facility. Police sources believe the crook cracked open the safe on the backside of that ATM, where thousands in cash was stored.

The facility, which advertises in large font on its building, “We Buy Scrap Metal,” boasts it’s America’s largest producer of catalytic converters. The company produces millions of exhaust car parts yearly along with its partners, according to its Web site.

No one at the center could be reached for comment on Thursday.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
