A 22-year-old man told cops that a guy he didn’t know threw fireworks into his car while he was driving on July 4 in Brooklyn and then shot him in the chest, police sources said.
Cory Webb told cops he was at 25 Rockaway Blvd. in Bedford-Stuyvesant when the suspect tossed the lit fireworks in his car, the sources said.
Webb turned around and chased the man, who then pulled out a gun and shot at him, he said.
Webb was struck one time in the chest and taken to Brookdale Hospital. He was expected to survive.
