A Staten Island man recorded himself torturing his neighbor’s cat until it nearly died — and posted the gruesome video on Facebook Live, cops said Thursday.

The sadistic video, posted June 29, shows 21-year-old Tyrike Richardson dropping a chair on the unsuspecting feline while another clip shows him waving a butcher’s knife in its face as the frightened cat tries to bat it away.

Richardson, of Arthur Avenue in South Beach, can also be seen jabbing a stick into the animal’s stomach and face while it lay motionless.

Richardson was charged with aggravated cruelty to an animal, a felony, and misdemeanor charges, police said.

The NYPD’s gangs unit came across the video, according to silive.com.

The cat, which suffered internal injuries, belongs to an 18-year-old woman whom cops said is a friend of Richardson’s.

Richardson has a lengthy history of arrests going back several years, cops said.

The cat, named Chester, is in the care of the ASPCA, silive.com reported.
