A man tried to chase down his armed robbers in The Bronx — only to get robbed again, cops said.
The unfortunate incident unfolded early Saturday while the 25-year-old victim was waiting for a No. 6 train at the E. 149 Street subway stop in Hunts Point, according to police.
A man and woman pulled a knife on the victim just after 2:15 a.m. and demanded his backpack, which contained his wallet, three credit cards and $1,000 in cash, cops said.
The man handed it over — then pursued the crooks as they tried to leave the station, according to police.
But their cronies stepped in, punching the man in the face and robbing him of his phone, Metrocard, headphones and jacket, police said.
The NYPD released photos of the suspects — four men and a woman — late Saturday night.
