A man found meandering the PATH train tracks caused commuter chaos in Lower Manhattan this morning, authorities said.

PATH trains were diverted to the World Trade Center station for 30 minutes after a man, who was apparently intoxicated, slipped into the tunnel near the Ninth St. station in Greenwich Village at 7:45 a.m., law enforcement sources said.

Scores of frustrated straphangers crammed into the station and the escalators had to be briefly shut down due to overcrowding, authorities said.

Police scoured the area and quickly took the man into custody. He was slapped with a trespassing summons.
