Police on Tuesday released surveillance footage of a man wanted for questioning in the shooting death of Gov. Cuomo aide Carey Gabay prior to the West Indian Day Parade.
Carey GabayAPGabey, 43, was fatally struck by crossfire as two rival gangs blasted at each other at about 3:40 a.m. on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn during the J’Ouvert festivities.
The footage shows a black male walking in an apartment complex at 1680 Bedford Ave. in Crown Heights — steps away from where the shooting took place. In the footage, the man wears a backwards baseball cap, black pants and black-framed eye glasses. He sports a well-trimmed goatee, the footage shows. A multi-colored bandanna is knotted around his neck.
Cops released footage from the same location of two other gunmen wanted for questioning soon after the shooting.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
