A Brooklyn man accused of spraying bear repellent at MTA bus drivers in two incidents faced dozens of angry transit workers at his court appearance on Thursday.

André Chandler, 46, pleaded not guilty to assault charges as the TWU Local 100 members watched.

Chandler allegedly sprayed two B15 buses with the noxious irritant: in the morning on Aug. 23, and then later that day when another driver missed his stop.

TWU Local 100 President Tony Utano said outside the courtroom that his workers “come here to do a job and go home safe to our family. We don’t come here to do a job and go to the hospital.”
