A manhole explosion rocked an Upper East Side block Tuesday morning, injuring one person, officials said.

The explosion happened on East 73rd Street near Madison Avenue at around 8:28 a.m., according to FDNY officials.

Emergency responders were called and the victim, who was not seriously injured, refused medical attention at the scene.

Con Edison spokesman Allan Drury said a crew was sent to the scene and there were no reports of customer power outages.
