A muttering maniac shoved a 91-year-old man to the ground on the Upper East Side, leaving the victim with a broken arm, police sources said Tuesday.
The deranged man attacked the old-timer on East 86th Street at about 7 a.m. on June 30, cops said.
The suspect, who was apparently intoxicated, made nonsensical statements during the attack, the police sources said.
He fled on foot and hopped into a taxicab a block away.
The attack does not appear to be a hate crime, according to police.
The victim was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital for treatment of facial abrasions as well as broken bones.
He has been in a wheelchair since the attack.
The suspect was described as an unkempt man with dirty, shaggy brown hair, about 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds.
He was last seen wearing grubby tennis shoes, a red shirt and jeans.
