A maniac stabbed a sleeping subway rider in the head at least three times during Monday’s morning commute — sparking a brawl that splattered blood across the train, cops and sources said.
The 56-year-old victim was snoozing on board a southbound No. 1 train passing through the 145th Street station in Harlem around 6:10 a.m. when a 20-year-old brute randomly knifed him at least three times in the head, cops and sources said.

The knifing apparently sparked a brawl that spilled into a second car, with blood left in both cars, according to the sources.
Alcantara was taken into custody at the scene, and faces charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he is listed in stable condition with puncture wounds and bleeding to the back of his head.
The 20-year-old attacker was taken into custody at the scene. J.C. RiceA knife was recovered at the scene.
Alcantara has three prior arrests – the most recent just this past Thursday for allegedly slashing his mother, 40, three times on the arm with a steak knife during a domestic clash in the Bronx, cops and prosecutors said.
He was released on his own recognizance during his Saturday arraignment on the non-bail-eligible charges of criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree assault – a misdemeanor – and harassment, according to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office.
His other prior arrests have been for jumping a subway turnstile and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said.
