The maniac who allegedly slashed two men in their faces in a wild, caught-on-video outburst on a busy Queens subway platform this week was busted after he allegedly threw a tantrum at the homeless shelter where he’d been staying, cops and sources said.
Tyquan Manassa, 28, was charged Friday in connection to the Wednesday afternoon attack on two men on the southbound platform of the E and F train at the Union Turnpike station in Kew Gardens, according to the NYPD.
Cops determined Manassa was the stabbing suspect after they nabbed him for a separate, unhinged outburst at the Ward’s Island shelter where he’d been staying Thursday, sources said.
In that case, he was caught on camera “aggressively” knocking and flipping over tables, throwing a fire extinguisher and a fan, and toppling the water and ice dispensing machine in the shelter hallway – causing more than $1,000 in damage, police said.
He is also accused of flipping over a bed with someone sleeping on it, cops said.
Manassa was charged with criminal mischief and misdemeanor assault in connection to the shelter mayhem — and was soon linked to the Queens subway violence, police said.
During that rampage, he allegedly approached a 42-year-old man from behind and slashed him with an “unknown sharp object” on the forehead, police said.

Footage shows both victims appearing stunned and holding tissues to their bleeding wounds, as concerned straphangers surrounded them on the bustling platform.

The two men were transported to local hospitals in stable condition, police said.
