A man in Times Square had his face slashed during an attempted robbery, cops said.

The victim was on West 40th Street near Seventh Avenue around 3:15 p.m. on a subway stairwell when the suspect pulled out a knife and slashed him across the right side of his face, cops and witnesses said.

A nurse who saw the bloodied victim on the sidewalk, rushed into a nearby eatery to grab napkins and a pair of gloves, witnesses said.

“She came in and said she needed a bunch of napkins and gloves because someone had been slashed and was bleeding,” Nick Goldman, a worker at Paris Baguette said of the good Samaritan.

“He looked like he had a slash on the right side of his face,” another witness said.

The 19 year-old man was able to point out his attacker and cops caught the suspect.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Charges were pending, cops said.
