There may still be life on Mars Bar.

The punk- and gunk-infused East Village dive, which closed this month to make way for condos, may be reborn within a few blocks’ orbit of the East First Street location it had occupied since 1984.

“I do plan to reopen,” owner Hank Penza told The Post yesterday.

“I am looking at a couple of places in the area. I just haven’t made a decision yet.”

Since a slew of health-code violations, including one for 850 fruit flies, accelerated Mars’ demise, regulars have insisted it would find a new home.

“The person who will serve as manager of the new Penza-run space has the actual bar and jukebox from the Mars Bar for the next place,” the East Village blog EV Grieve said.

A developer will soon raze the bar’s old building at East First Street and Second Avenue to make way for a 12-story condo building.
