Stung by charges of political favoritism, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz yesterday said he’s allowing Republican congressional candidate Bob Turner to speak at an upcoming summer concert event in Coney Island.

The Democratic Beep caught flak last week after he permitted Turner’s Democratic opponent, Assemblyman David Weprin, to stump at a packed Aretha Franklin concert. The Turner camp cried foul.

Weprin and Turner, a businessman, are vying to succeed ex-Rep. Anthony Weiner. The special election will be held Sept. 13.

“It’s what you call fair play,” Markowitz said of giving Turner equal time at the 33rd annual Seaside Summer Concert Series.

Markowitz said he agreed to let Turner appear at an Aug. 18 concert featuring the band Cheap Trick.
