A masked man who broke into a Queens home made off with over $10,000 in jewelry, police said Wednesday.
The bandit tiptoed around a house near 27th Street and Hoyt Avenue South in Astoria on Aug. 29, wearing a Yankees baseball cap, gloves and a black face mask, according to police.
He grabbed $13,000 worth of jewelry and ran off on foot, cops said.
When the 27-year-old resident later returned home and discovered her valuables gone, she phoned police, authorities said.
The heist is the latest in a string of jewelry robberies across the city.
