Mayor de Blasio has pledged to crack down on oft-abused parking placards, but his office could not even give a full account Wednesday of how many it has doled out to New York officials this year.
Dozens of state pols were left off a list Hizzoner’s office shared with reporters detailing the 180-plus parking cards — which allow drivers to break certain parking laws in the line of duty — that the Mayor’s Office issued in 2017.
The Post had requested an account of all placards issued by the Mayor’s Office.
A spokesman directed reporters to file a Freedom of Information Request for the 47 Assembly members and seven state senators who reportedly got placards — despite already forking over the incomplete 180-name list without such a requirement.
The placards have become a hot-button issue because many recipients abuse the privilege by using expired placards and parking in places the cards do not allow.
