McCall now ‘backing’ off
Carl McCall says he’s out of the candidate-endorsement business, now that Gov. Cuomo has named him chairman of SUNY’s board.
The ex-state comptroller and senator and 2002 gubernatorial candidate asked out of a fund-raiser held last night for Dan French, a Democratic candidate for Dutchess County executive.
“He will not support any candidate during his term,” said Morgan Hook, a SUNY spokesman.
