Medicard ‘scam’
Two city welfare workers were charged yesterday with creating and selling phony Medicaid cards that were used to scam nearly $400,000 in benefits.
Pamela Jones and Kelvin Jennings were ratted out by an accomplice who helped them peddle the crooked cards for up to $400 a pop, according to papers filed in Manhattan federal court.
Jones was busted yesterday, while Jennings remained at large, the Manhattan US Attorney’s Office said.
